Alexandra Bring's idyllic holiday home: A breath of fresh air from the hectic life of Stockholm

Welcome to Alexandra Bring's summer cottage, where everyday life goes from the hectic pulse of Stockholm to a peaceful oasis of nature and tranquillity. Here, 74 miles outside the city, Alexandra and her family have created a home where children can play freely and nature becomes their playground.

In a world where everything moves fast and city life is full of speed, Alexandra Bring has chosen a different path. After years of searching, she found her family's dream home where they have found peace and quiet and a simpler lifestyle. It is a place where cars are replaced by bicycles and where the forest becomes the playground for the children. It is a story of moving from a hectic city life to the peaceful surroundings of the Swedish countryside.

The real change in the holiday home is in the details. With new windows and doors from Klar, the house has undergone a transformation that not only improves functionality, but also complements the traditional aesthetic and style of the house. High quality products and Scandinavian design are evident in the transformation of Alexandra Bring's home.

Alexandra has renovated her holiday home with 9 windows and 4 doors, which have in common that they are white on both sides and have glazing bars. Below you can see the different types and how they complement the traditional Swedish villa.

A door with filling for a traditional look

In addition to the main house and barn, there is a guest house on the property where the family's guests can stay overnight. Here, Alexandra has chosen a front door 3 fillings 4 panes and placed it together with the original entrance to the building.

"We decided to renovate because there were some things that were not completely consistent with the rest of the house," Alexandra says in the video.

The door gives the building a modern look while retaining the traditional. In addition, the glass panel at the top lets in extra light.

A large window provides extra cosiness

In the main house there are plenty of opportunities to look out and experience the beautiful views and maximise the amount of natural light. To make the most of the views, Alexandra has chosen a Cottage window two opening sashes 24 panes, which face the pool, garden and forest, so that the family are sure to get the best views as they enjoy their time in their holiday home.

A double door provides direct access to nature

In the same part of the house where the large cottage window is located, Alexandra has chosen a French door with 4 fillings and 12 panes and placed a fixed window on each side of the door. This is to maximise the view and light.

The door especially gives the youngest members of the family direct access to the terrace and the large grass area that connects the property to the woods across. "We usually put our little baby in the pram and there are always other doors for the children to go through so they don't wake her up," says Alexandra.

An everyday life full of imagination and play

For Alexandra Bring and her family, the transformation of the summer house has not just been about appearance, but about creating a place where the family can flourish. "We can just open the door and let the kids run free. They have great fun here!" says Alexandra.

The children have a free zone where their imagination can flourish and where every day is filled with play and adventure. It's a story about rediscovering the joy of simple things and letting nature become a natural extension of the home.
