Correct unpacking of your delivery – protect your products

Packed delivery

Delivery packaging

Your order is delivered on one or more pallets, depending on the size of your order. To protect the products during transport, all items are secured to wooden supports using special screws or clips that hold them in place without causing any damage. The screws are placed in the least visible areas and only where necessary to ensure safe transportation. Each product is protected with thick foam on the sides to prevent dents and impact damage during delivery. Nothing is loose on the pallet. The entire pallet is wrapped in protective plastic film to shield it from weather and dirt during transport. A strong plastic strap around the order and pallet ensures that no items come loose in transit. There’s quite a bit to unpack before you can install your new windows and doors. That’s why it’s important to take your time and follow the unpacking guide step by step – to make sure everything remains in perfect condition for installation.

Step-by-step unpacking guide

You will need the following tools:

  • Scissor or utility knife

  • Electric screwdriver

  • Non electric flat-head screwdriver

  • (Optional) Work gloves

1. Remove the straps

Use the scissor to cut through the strong plastic strap and remove it.

2. Remove the wooden safety blocks

Loosen the screws on the wooden safety blocks with the screwdriver and remove both the screws and blocks to make the plastic film accessible.

3. Remove the plastic film

Cut a hole in the protective plastic wrap, then tear or cut it open so you can easily remove it from the products and the pallet.

4. Check the fitting box

Detach the fitting box and check that all the necessary installation parts are included.

5. Remove the wooden supports

Use the screwdriver to remove all screws from the wooden supports. These are raw wooden blocks from production, reused in our packaging to reduce waste – they may have sharp edges or splinters, so we recommend wearing gloves for this step. Start by unscrewing the blocks at the top of the products and work your way down toward the pallet. This prevents the products from tipping or falling as the top supports are released.

6. Remove foam and clips

Use a flat-head screwdriver to remove all clips and foam from the edges of the products.
